We raised $910.55 for charity in 2021!

    DndspeakBy DndspeakJanuary 7, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

During 2021, I developed Power Word: Charity, a way for tabletop players to get exciting new Dndspeak PDFs while donating to charity. Four different Dndspeak PDFs were selected last year and 100% of the money that was made by them were given to four different charities: The Nature Conservancy, The National Domestic Violence Hotline, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

In April 2021, the 100 Forest Encounters PDF was released. The PDF was Pay What You Want, and 100% of the proceeds went to The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive. The people of our community raised $351.46 that month, just in time for Earth Day!

In May 2021, 100 City Encounters was released, and 100% of the proceeds went to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. By the end of the month, we had all raised $239.50 for the charity.

In September 2021, I released the 100 Riddles And Their Answers PDF, and 100% of the proceeds went to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, an organization that is near and dear to me. They are located in my hometown! The community ended up raising $230.89 in the month of September.

In December 2021, the 100 Interesting Trinkets PDF was released and all of the proceeds went to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. By New Years, we had raised $88.70 for the Foundation!

Throughout the year, Dndspeak raised $910.55 collectively for these charities, and I could not be more thrilled! Thank you all SO much to everyone who participated. Going into 2022, I am developing new ways to reward those who donate (sticker packs, extra PDFs, etc.) and I hope we continue to give back to those in need! Thank you all so much for your incredible generosity.
